For over 25 years Pittston Area has been one of the finest bands in the Wyoming Valley. In the past decade, the band has amassed numerous awards, including marching championships and outstanding jazz ratings.

You will find that many of the Pittston Area Band students represent some of the top scholars at Pittston Area. Numerous high school students in the marching band are enrolled in Honors or AP courses and are part of academic teams that the school offers.

The mission of the Pittston Area Music Department, whether it be marching band, concert band, jazz band, or concert chorus, is to educate the students through musical involvement and to entertain our supporters.
